Privacy Policy

Nine is a sudoku app made by Balthazar Van de Velde (Made by Balthazar), Belgium. This policy covers the iPhone, iPad and Android versions of the app.

The short version

Nine does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no server, no ads, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

Data stored on your device

Your progress, times, statistics, streak, the puzzle you were working on and your choice of light or dark mode are saved in the app's own storage on your device. None of this leaves your device, and all of it disappears when you delete the app. You can also erase it in the app itself: Statistics, Erase all progress.

Purchases

Nine is free to try for 7 days. After that it can be unlocked with a one-time purchase. The purchase is handled entirely by the store you installed Nine from: Apple through the App Store, or Google through Google Play. We never see your payment details. How they handle that transaction is described in Apple's and Google's own privacy policies. On iPhone and iPad the free week is registered through the App Store as well; on Android the app only notes on your device when your free week started.

Internet access

You can play Nine with the internet switched off. The app contacts the app store only for purchases: to show the current price, to check what you have already bought, to start the free week, and to complete or restore a purchase.

Children

Nine is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to give you access to, correct, or delete. If you have a question about this, write to us and we will answer.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
